Injectable prolozone is the injection of a nutrient rich solution and ozone gas into joints, trigger points, scars, and painful areas to help with pain, inflammation, and post-trauma and/or post-surgical recovery.
The idea behind pain is stagnation and poor nutrient utilization. Muscles and ligaments receive less blood flow than some other areas in the body. With trauma or inflammation, this support of oxygen and nutrients is even lower, which in turn does not allow proper outflow of metabolites and toxins from the joint and muscles.
A prolozone injection supplies basic supportive nutrients that are lacking in the traumatized, stagnant, and inflamed tissues as well as oxygen in the form of healing ozone, which promotes recovery and regeneration of painful joints ligaments and muscles. This repair of damaged tissue often leads to a permanent recovery.
Dr. Katka studied Prolozone under Dr. Frank Shallenberger and Dr. Robert Rowen and she is the member of The American Academy of Ozonotherapy
